Job Title: Training and Development Manager
Location: Louisville, KY, 40216
Duration: 6 months contract ***high possibility of conversation to Fulltime***
Pay Rate: $70-$88/hr.
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday
Interview: 2 rounds interview (1st round zoom with HM and 2nd round onsite/in-person with Panel)
Duties
• Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluation all capability building programs aligned with business objectives and site mission. (Clear Capability assessed and Training plans in place with internal & external vendors or Subject Matter Experts).
• Development and training of practical, theoretical and technical training.
• Preparation of training module content, facilitation notes and training facilities & equipment in safe working order.
• Deliver strategic and tactical objectives for improvement of our site. Assess to all job descriptions and role profiles for employees, both hourly and salaried to identify the skills and knowledge required in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of legislations and compliance policies.
• Maintain training records in Training Database as well as employees electronic training documents
• Conduct Business Training Needs Assessment by assessing the capability needs of each department to ensure that annual shift preference moves are transitioned appropriately.
• Manage/Develop Master Training Matrix to track the capabilities for each crew/department.
• Create Pre and Post Assessments for various training initiatives
• Develop One Point Lessons/Job Aids/SOPs for on-the-job training.
• A track record in being able to link training to performance improvements is essential.
• Develop, implement and track a robust training plan

Critical-thinking skills. Use critical-thinking skills when assessing classes, materials, and programs. They must identify the training needs of an organization and make changes and improvements as required.
Decision-making skills. Training and development managers must select or create the best training programs to meet the needs of an organization. For example, they must review available training methods and materials and choose those that best fit each program.
Collaboration skills. Need strong interpersonal skills because delivering training programs requires working in concert with staff, trainees, subject matter experts, and the organization’s leaders. They also accomplish much of their work through teams.
Instructional skills. Need to understand the fundamentals of teaching and lesson planning. In addition to developing training, they may lead courses or seminars.
Leadership skills. Must be able to organize, motivate, and instruct those working for them.
