As a progressive financial institution, we are seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of Teller for our Mountain Home Air Force Base Branch.
The Teller will greet and assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explains services, responds to problems, assists members with their financial needs, and directs members to the appropriate team members.
Responsibilities Include:
- Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Sells money orders and cashier’s checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed and within credit union policies. Balances daily transactions and ensures that cash recycler inventory is correct at closing. Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and escorts members to appropriate location in the branch to better assist them. Resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve and refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations. Continually searches for ways to “WOW” members or potential members in all interactions.
- Actively practices overcoming member and potential member objections when recommending Pioneer’s products and services. All Tellers will have daily, weekly or monthly goals and will be held accountable to those goals. Maintains member account information on computer systems by gathering complete and accurate member information and updating records as needed. Assures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared. Acts as liaison between members and various organizations and departments. Will be responsible for helping maintain Pioneer’s brand look and feel at all times. Will maintain a working knowledge on all Pioneer’s product and services, including member electronic and video channels such as home banking, mobile banking, my Pioneer Personal Assistant, etc.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum six months of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills: This position requires excellent public relations skills, knowledge of Pioneer services and products, organizational skills to ensure the proper recording and dissemination of required information. Efficiency and accuracy, as well as professionalism in communication, is vital to the successful execution of this position.
Physical Requirements: Very light physical effort. Typical of most office jobs. Work in comfortable positions. May include constant standing.
Work Environment: Normal light, heat, air, and space in the work environment.
