Responsibilities Of An Inpatient Registered Nurse RN
- Utilize assessment findings to evaluate the appropriateness of care
- Initiate, individualize, and implement clinical care protocols which consider diagnosis, assessment data and physician collaboration
- Monitor care delivered using clinical care protocols and criteria
- Initiate discharge assessment on admission and collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team toward desired discharge goals
- Implement strategies to effect desirable outcomes for patients who are to be discharged
- Facilitate continuity of care encompassing all shifts, physicians, services, and disciplines
- Utilize relevant research findings to guide and select options for management of patient care issues
- Utilize internal and external resources and systems to effectively meet patient and family needs
- Utilizes established criteria as a guideline for clinical decision making
- Provide supervision and direction of Patient Care Technicians and clerical staff
