PipeCom is seeking a dynamic Quality Assurance Analyst to join our experienced team of problem solvers. We are looking for a QA Analyst for one of our oil and gas clients, to support a Technology and Information Service team with clients across the organization.
Role Description
This role will support project managers in the Technology and IS team to create and implement test plans for technology projects supporting several business client groups. The successful candidate will also work with clients and with project teams to document and resolve issues with products, managing several scopes and expectations. The successful candidate will also work with the Technology and IS team to develop and improve quality assurance and quality control processes, documenting those and ensuring alignment with Quality Management Systems.
Minimum Job Qualifications
· Post-secondary degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fields.
· 3-5 years’ experience as a QA automation specialist.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines.
· Work with cross functional teams including software developers and end users throughout the software development lifecycle to resolve requirements, documentation, design, and functional issues.
· Assist in implementing, creating, and working towards improving the overall QA processes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Experience in UFT and/or other test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework, JMeter.
· Experience in one or more test management tools such as Azure DevOps, TestRail, Inflight, Jira, ServiceNow.
· Proficiently in one or more scripting/programming languages such as HTML, Python, Java, JavaScript, VB.
· Strong understanding of SQL and ability to write complex queries to update and maintain data in test environments.
· Experience implementing automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
· Familiarity with all testing methodologies including Regression, Unit, Integration, System, and Blackbox testing.
· Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, testing protocols.
· Ensure systematic assessment of defined functions on each product build and detect issues due to code changes.
· Experience in Cloud technologies (preferably Azure).
· Working knowledge of Commercial Gas Transmission Pipeline Systems is preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, given the need to manage customers and to coordinate between project teams and client teams.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders, strong organization skills, and prioritization.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
