What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at Piper Companies?
Piper Companies is currently working in conjunction with a leading Senior Care company in the Baltimore area to identify their next General Manager.
The GM contributes to and leads the business growth by managing all internal operations: including HR and staff management and external sales development team. Collaborates with VP of Operations on HR issues, customer service, customer, and caregiver management, and directs internal office staff.
Responsibilities of the GM:
Responsible for the recruitment, development, and management of sales team.
Responsible for directing the sales development strategy to achieve sales revenue objectives.
Manages all office personnel to set weekly goals and manage expectations. Ensures goals are met each week. When goals are not met, coaches personnel and takes appropriate action.
Supervises and responsible for payroll, gross sales reporting, activity reports, and other reports as assigned by VP.
Oversees Dir. Of Care in scheduling of caregivers, tracking and arranging coverage for absences and coordinating on-call caregivers. Ensures CM is scheduling for optimal Gross Profit Margin.
Manage recruitment and interviewing process for caregivers, including completion of all background checks, all new hire paperwork, and orientations.
Report Workers’ Compensation claims and manage return to work process.
Ensures CM is visiting caregivers on a regular basis to evaluate caregiver performance, ensure each is performing to satisfaction, and to reward caregivers who go above and beyond expectations.
Make certain client services manager visits clients on a regular schedule to ensure customer satisfaction and determine need for additional hours.
Analyze data presented by each manager at the weekly meetings including client retention dashboard, client attrition, and all sales KPI’s and ensure appropriate action plans are in place.
Has all financial information (accounts payable and receivables) organized and ready for entry. Follows up on all receivables in a timely manner as directed by VP.
Makes sure that bi-weekly billing is processed in a timely manner.
Conducts daily and weekly operational update meetings with staff.
Works with VP to determine appropriate revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Qualifications of the GM:
Exceptional and verifiable customer service skills and experience.
Prior Home Care, Senior Care experience preferred.
Demonstrable sales, sales development, and sales management experience.
Bachelor's Degree and three years of related work experience are strongly preferred.
Experience in recruiting or HR onboarding activities required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required.
Ability to learn other software programs quickly.
Compensation for the GM:
$100,000
