Objective: Skill development training for employees in a specific focus area based on the needs of the sow farm following production protocols.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Direct employee training per company’s production protocols in specific focus areas.
- Ability to teach and give constructive feedback.
- Ability to train and enter production information into company database.
- On-site farm visits for training, overnight travel required.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Verify training compliance with MyPipestone reporting features.
- Review of translated material occasionally.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
AA/BA degree related to animal science or equal experience
Experience:
Agricultural background with swine preferred
Work Environment:
Agricultural swine environment in rural area
Noise levels that require hearing protection in some areas
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel independently to all USA Company sites
Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day
Frequently bending, reaching, squatting and kneeling
Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pull
Frequent lifting of objects weighing 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Additional Requirements:
Must be Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Self-motivated individual with advanced planning and organizational skills
High level of computer skills in Microsoft applications
Must have valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to Company and insurance company
