What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Manager position at Pirouette Farm?
Pirouette Farm is seeking a Farm Manager in Norwich, VT. Pirouette Farm is a top-notch boarding and training horse facility on 110 open acres that also produces hay for its own use and for sale.
The Farm Manager’s job is to maintain all elements of the facility including buildings, vehicles, hay equipment, and grounds as well as to be in charge of the production of approximately 10,000 square bales of hay every year. In the winter the grounds need to be plowed and sanded. The Farm Manager works closely with the Barn Manager whose job it is to ensure the care and safety of the horses and riders at the farm.
The ideal candidate should have a knowledge of operating and maintaining various pieces of farm, haying and snow plowing equipment, as well as working knowledge of building maintenance, including carpentry, basic plumbing, and electrical. Pay: $32,743.00 - $83,647.00 per year
