About the Role:
PitchBook’s Morningstar Institutional Equity Research Services (MIERS) team specializes in selling and servicing institutional clients in public and private markets by providing fundamental valuations, ratings and analysis on more than 1,500 public companies, using a consistent and proprietary approach to analyzing companies by focusing on their long term sustainable competitive advantages. In addition to company reports that provide an extensive analysis of business strategy, economic moat drivers, scenario analysis and stewardship, subscribers to MIERS can explore actionable investment ideas across multiple content categories.
The Product team within the MIERS organization works to strategically align MIERS product initiatives with core customer needs and prioritize go-to-market efforts to drive both increased user engagement and increased win rates.
The Associate Product Manager, MIERS contributes to the MIERS Product team by supporting our clients and account representatives with go-to-market activities. This is a “business-facing” Product Management role on a team that focuses on supporting the traditional MIERS market, PitchBook client opportunities and identifying new markets and creating new product offerings to bring to market.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Build expertise in the subject matter (public equity markets, as well as M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, etc.) and understanding of PitchBook and Morningstar user needs
- Contract audit–work closely with MIERS account managers to ensure opportunities, contracts and order forms are accurate
- Create new and maintain existing Analyst Workspaces in the PitchBook Platform
- Maintain sales enablement content library
- Work with MIERS Product Managers to develop training, communications and enablement materials to support improvements or new developments
- Ad-hoc report generation based on Team/Rep/Leadership requests
- Prioritize, track, coordinate and communicate on projects, issues and tasks with internal stakeholders including the Sales team, Marketing team and the Leadership team
- Support pre and post launch activities, including participating in client calls & training
- Continuously improve our external and internal deliverables and operational processes
- Collaborate with all internal and external partners to facilitate projects
- Serve as MIERS point-of-contact to PitchBook’s Revenue Operations team, working directly with members to socialize existing initiatives and implementing system changes
- Curate research notes submitted by analysts into morning call agenda
- Serve as MIERS point-of-contact for PitchBook billing team to ensure opportunity, quote and contract accuracy for billing
- Audit our CRM via report generation to enforce data integrity
- Pull and report monthly readership data
- Manage client research entitlements across several financial technology platforms
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Accounting or related field
- 1 year of customer facing product management experience or equivalent
- Experience defining and shipping digital solutions
- Bias for action and willingness to roll up their sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
- Experience gathering customer-centric requirements and writing functional design specification documents
- Superior analytical, interpersonal and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of Excel capabilities
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
