What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at Pivot?
Pivot Physical Therapy has an immediate opening for a passionate and experienced Patient Care Coordinator. Successful candidates will be friendly, patient-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Your typical day includes:
- Maintaining a warm, friendly, and welcoming relationship with all patients, Pivot staff, medical/non-medical professionals, vendors, and visitors
- Scheduling appointments, completing coding, editing checks, verifying benefits via phone, and setting up accounts
- Accurately entering and reviewing patient demographics, insurance, case information, and charges
- Collecting all monies due prior to each visit such as co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance, etc. Documenting all monies appropriately

You are a great fit if you:
- Hold a high school degree or equivalent
- Possess excellent customer service/interpersonal/communication skills and proper phone etiquette
- Have medical front office/receptionist experience and a general understanding of medical billing practices/medical terminology (HCFA 1500, CPT and ICD 9 codes) (Preferred)
- Available Monday – Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM (Schedule may vary between these hours)
