Assistant Manager
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct the activities of the restaurant team on assigned shifts and as requested by the RGM
- Address and resolve customer concerns
- Continuously train team members in proper procedures and policies
- Coach and counsel team members as needed; inform RGM of these discussions
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness and sanitation
- Supervise all operations on assigned shifts to ensure the highest product quality and accuracy
- Perform opening procedures, including but not limited to preparation of dough, make table, and ingredients
- Perform closing procedures, including but not limited to cleaning, washing dishes, mopping, and vacuuming floors
- Support team members as needed in helping customers, cooking, cutting, and serving
- Count, secure, and record cash on hand at required times during a shift
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, as well as all local, State, and Federal laws
- Ensure Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product Quality, and Speed of Service (C.H.A.M.P.S.)
- Rewards, recognizes, and motivates team members
- Communicates assignments effectively and respectfully
- Contribute to a positive team environment through attitude and example
- Assist in performing necessary administrative duties, such as scheduling, preparing and transporting deposits, reviewing product and financial projections, counting inventory levels
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Answer telephones, take orders, and operate cash register
- Take deposits to the bank
- Put away products and supplies received
- Ensures proper stock rotation
- Assist the RGM in recruitment and selection of qualified team members
- Assist RGM in completing daily paperwork
- Assist in keeping food and labor costs within the required guidelines, with guidance of the RGM
- Perform any needed task to assist in the operation of the restaurant, as assigned by the manager on duty

SUPERVISION
Works under the supervision of the Restaurant General Manager. Does not have direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid food handler’s card (where required by law)
- Complete Pizza Hut’s online Assistant Manager training program and attend LEAD classes
- Pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record preferred
