Position Overview:
PlanITROI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee and ensure the quality of our IT asset disposition (ITAD) processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and assurance, particularly within the ITAD or technology sector. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards in the processing, testing, and disposition of IT assets to meet both regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for ITAD processes, including asset testing, refurbishment, and disposition.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas for improvement in the quality control processes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of IT assets throughout the processing life-cycle, from intake through final disposition.
- Ensure that all IT assets are accurately tested, documented, and processed according to company policies and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including test results and inspection reports.
- Lead, train, and supervise the quality control team, ensuring they are well-versed in quality standards and procedures.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development for team members.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including ISO9001, ISO14001, and R2V3 standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards affecting ITAD quality control.
- Prepare and submit reports on quality control activities, including trends, issues, and improvement initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints and product defects.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and engineering, to address and resolve quality-related challenges.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving quality control processes and outcomes.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in the development of new procedures and best practices to enhance overall quality management.
Requirements & Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the ITAD or technology sector.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, ITAD processes, and industry regulations (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, R2V3).
- Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques, including inspection, testing, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve quality issues efficiently.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
