What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Recruiter position at Plant Street Staffing?
Plant Street Staffing is a quickly scaling staffing startup working with human services agencies and architecture firms across the U.S. We're hiring employee #1--a part-time Junior Recruiter looking to break into agency recruiting and make a big impact by getting in on the ground floor of a fast-growing recruiting firm.
Experience is important, but more than experience we're hiring for motivation and drive. You might be a good fit if these three values describe you:
- Work is not the most important thing in your life--something else is (like family, friends, a dream, your pets, etc.).
- Work is something that gets your full attention and 100% effort. When you're working, you're working, not just phoning it in.
- Work is an opportunity for you to take action, try new things, learn quickly, and grow as a professional.
Sounds like you? Great. Read on.
What will I be doing?
Your day will focus on reviewing resumes, scheduling calls, and conducting interviews with candidates who have expressed an interest in one of our roles. Once you interview them, if they're a good fit, you'll put together a formal writeup, clean up their resume (if needed), and get them ready for the client to review. You won't be talking to clients (initially), and won't have to do business development or cold call. However, you will need to get through a high volume of interviews per day.
Here are some sample metrics you'll be expected to achieve:
- 8 interviews booked per day.
- 6 interviews completed per day.
- 3 candidate submissions per day.
What do I need to have?
You need to be driven to make an impact, make money, and learn and grow quickly. We're a young agency (that has achieved a lot so far!) and we need A-players who see themselves here long-term.
In terms of experience, here's what we need to see:
- At least two years of experience in a customer or client-facing job.
- 1 year of management experience in a customer or client-facing job (preferred).
- Some interviewing experience (preferred).
- Your own laptop and high-speed internet.
- Your own phone, cell plan, and a quiet place to work from home each day.
What will I get in return?
Compensation matters, so here's what we're offering.
- Part-time expectation--we're only expecting you to work 20 hours a week or less (though you're obviously welcome to work more).
- $250/wk base salary. It's not much, but that's the point. You'll make most of your money from making placements.
- 10% commission on all placements made (and we pay quick too, as soon as the guarantee is completed and the money is in-house).
- Fully remote (so long as you live in Orlando and are available for occasional meetups).
- A clearly defined promotion plan with increases in hours, salary, commission %, and responsibilities, and clear benchmarks you need to "hit" to get that promotion.
- We'll pay for all your software and tools.
