Role Summary:
The corporate 5S Leader's primary responsibility involves analyzing, maintaining, and improving the overall effectiveness of the organizational 5S program. This person investigates, analyzes, and recommends solutions to production related issues/opportunities to drive continuous improvement using 5S principles. This role requires a highly competent process manager who use a variety of skills, such as project design, leadership, and change management to ensure performance and process development.

Accountable for:
- Lead 5S initiative at all Plastic Ingenuity facilities in all departments.
- Collaborate closely with site leadership and on site 5S champion to continuously improve 5S program.
- Coordinate 5S benchmarking tours.
- Train the 5S process and why it is important to success at PI.
- Track project completion and progress of program effectively.
- Celebrate success with team members.
- Maintain and improve Continuous Improvement knowledge by attending educational workshops, and benchmarking events.
- Perform any other projects or tasks that may be assigned by the Process Improvement Leader.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or equivalent experience in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of 5S experience, with significant experience in continuous improvement projects.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Available to travel up to 40% to other satellite Plastic Ingenuity facilities
Desired Qualifications:
- Practical experience with implementation and sustaining of 5S programs.
- Demonstrated experience with the PDCA process and standard work development and implementation.
- Experience with cross-function communication and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.
- Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal, and written communication in an individual and team setting.
- Possess strong time-management and project prioritization skills.
- Completion of Lean Manufacturing education above and beyond bachelor's degree, or commitment to complete.
- Change Management experience.
- Experience with SmartSheets or similar project management software.
- Experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
