Job Description:
Will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our AWS infrastructure. Primary responsibility will be to establish and fully utilize our AWS pipeline, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices, security standards, and scalability requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy and manage services, including but not limited to Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon SageMaker.
Key Responsibilities:
· AWS Environment Setup: Design, deploy, and maintain our AWS environment, including VPCs, security groups, IAM policies, and other infrastructure components.
· Data Storage and Management: Implement and optimize Amazon S3 for data storage and manage data lifecycle policies to ensure cost-effectiveness and data availability.
· Data Warehousing: Configure and manage Amazon Redshift clusters for data warehousing, ensuring high performance, scalability, and data integrity.
· Automation: Implement infrastructure as code (IAC) and automation scripts using tools such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform for provisioning and management.
· Security and Compliance: Ensure AWS services and infrastructure are secure, compliant with industry standards, and regularly perform security assessments and audits.
· Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize AWS resources to improve cost-efficiency, performance, and scalability.
· Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of AWS configurations, processes, and procedures.
· Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, developers, and data scientists, to understand their requirements and provide AWS solutions accordingly.
· Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve technical issues, provide support during incidents, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
Key Technical Skills:
· AWS Services Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in AWS services, with a strong focus on Amazon S3 for data storage, Amazon Redshift for data warehousing, and Amazon SageMaker for machine learning solutions.
· Infrastructure as Code (IAC): Extensive experience in using IAC tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
· Scripting and Programming: Expertise in scripting and programming languages, particularly Python and Bash, for automation, custom solutions, and AWS CLI interactions.
· Security and Compliance: In-depth knowledge of AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC configuration, encryption, and adherence to compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
· Performance Optimization: Proven track record in optimizing AWS resources for cost-efficiency, scalability, and high performance.
· Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Strong familiarity with AWS monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail) and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
