Equine Specialist

Through Ranch and Equine Assisted Learning and Equine Therapy we connect with youth, often youth facing extraordinary challenges. Our ranch environment is rich with opportunities to contribute and make a positive difference to the youth we serve. The development of Life Skills is foremost upon our minds as we develop programing involving our horses the other ranch contributors.

Current Opportunity.

We are seeking an Equine Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be someone whose experience involves knowledge and comfort working with horses and youth. This individual will be involved with providing Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and Equine Therapy, often alongside a therapist or mentor in addition to the mentee.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing, or will have completed, formal certification toward EAL or ES expertise, (ex. EGALA, Natural Lifemanship, Strides to Success)

Core requirements include an engaging and compassionate disposition, equine strength, the ability to successfully work within a team, and an interest in further growth.

While this ad is focused on our need for an Equine Specialist, our program's growth also creates opportunities for mentoring and varied administrative contributions.

This is a 1099 contractor position, so hours and schedule are extremely flexible.

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Bachelor’s Degree Recommended.
• Minimum of 3 years equestrian experience required.
• At least one of the following equine certifications is required.
• PATH, EGALA, Natural Lifemanship etc.
• 3 years' experience facilitating groups or individual equine activities is preferred.
