A Sales Engineer is the trusted voice of the practitioner in our sales process. Reporting to the V.P. of Sales, this role must have a deep cybersecurity background and domain knowledge and work to translate complex cybersecurity concepts, practices and procedures, into the PlexTrac platform. As a Sales Engineer, you will commonly run demonstrations both in person and online during the sales process and be the voice of the prospect in communicating development requirements to the PlexTrac development team. At times, this position may also be asked to represent PlexTrac and or speak at conferences, develop white papers and case studies and submit papers to specific conferences. Key Responsibilities 

  • Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare, and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Successfully match customer pain points/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the Development teams for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence


Qualifications

  • Deep cybersecurity domain knowledge and experience
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
