HOW YOU WILL DO IT
Purpose Statement:
Support and partner with team members in overseeing, processing and reviewing a variety of information and reports to ensure the accurate financial results and reporting accuracy of assets and liabilities for the Company.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Assists with developing and maintaining the monthly consolidation of financial data globally and reconciliation of intercompany balances
- Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy, extraordinary or unusual items.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with SOX requirements.
- Prepare weekly and month end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances.
- Responsible for assisting with SOX Control preparation and review to ensure controls are in compliance with company standards and process narratives.
- Responsible for Lease Contract Management along with associated accounting entries.
- Interface with other accounting/finance resources to identify areas where automation can be used to streamline processes and support the design and development of automation solutions using RPA.
- Assist with balance sheet fluctuation review
- Collaborate with global teams to maintain standard processes while ensuring that GAAP and statutory requirements are maintained.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Participate in cross functional Continuous Improvement Initiatives or Specialized activities as required within the organization.
- Assist with analyzing forecasted versus actual results and reconciling variances between them.
- Assist with government surveys and insurance renewals.
- Assist with the preparation of audit requirements.
- Review and approve monthly reconciliations performed by other accountants.
- Supports Sites with Financial Statement Review
- Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated <5%).
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
- Three (3) years of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
Other Qualifications:
- Excellent math skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
- JDE, FAS and Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Problem solving skills
- General office equipment and materials
Work Environment:
The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
