What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Scheduler position at PLI Cards?
Primary responsibilities for the Master Scheduler are to implement and maintain the production workflow. The Master Scheduler must be efficient and proficient working with our EFI Print Flow scheduling module in an efficient manner to insure the demands of the customer are met. Other duties include communication & coordination with other departments to facilitate a smooth and effective production process.

Reports To: Director of Operations
Duties:
The daily management and implementation of the production schedule through the use of the EFI Print Flow software. Identify a back-up Scheduler once the system is stabilize and running efficiently.

- Work with IT and other production support departments to implement Print Flow, documenting processes, training Pre-Ops team and ensuring success of the project based on deliverables provided
- Scheduling job & orders for the various finishing stages of the manufacturing process.
- Enter and clear jobs in schedule board.
- Check job tickets for continuity and accuracy.
- Update data in the manufacturing software to allow for timely and accurate reporting.
- Ensure that orders with a firm required date are designated and appropriate departments notified
- Effectively communicate to all production areas the production schedule via spreadsheet, e-mail, etc.
- Communicate any changes to the production schedule to the appropriate personnel via voice and e-mail as required.
- Identify and communicate product that requires special processes to appropriate departments.
- Safely perform physical demands as indicated below.
- Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel.
- Work mandatory overtime as needed to meet customers' needs.
Qualifications:
- Five or more years in a manufacturing environment in a scheduling position in printing or card manufacturing industry.
- Working experience and knowledge of EFI Monarch and Printflow scheduling system a plus.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office 2000 products.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and general office skills.
- The ability to multitask.
- Five or more years in a manufacturing environment in a scheduling position in printing or card manufacturing industry.
- Working experience and knowledge of EFI Monarch and Printflow scheduling system a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
