Position Overview:
The Field Service Engineer must have A level certification and/or experience with a focus on customer support and effective communication. The IT Field Service Engineer will be responsible for supporting all IT related equipment in our store locations. Must be available for after hour/emergency calls from our Service Desk team for store related issues

Job Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Engineer your daily duties will consist of and may not be limited to the following:
- Provides preventative and corrective field technical service all store IT Hardware, network equipment, Software and process equipment on site at client locations.
- Directs, coordinates, and assists with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Represents PLS in a professional manner at all times.
- Follows all Company and Security procedures.
- Demonstrates proficiency in accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing IT problems on multiple platforms of OS’s and software.
- Possesses a strong knowledge of IT Hardware and OS technologies as well as comprehensive diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Will have call-out project responsibilities and responds to emergency maintenance calls.
- Responsible for submitting accurate Service Desk tickets and other necessary paperwork.
- Is dedicated to customer service and maintains professional working relationships with customers and co-workers.
- When applicable, will try to troubleshoot/resolve the problem remotely.
- Perform pro-active store activities as outlined by PLS
- Manage local asset inventory
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- 3 - 8 years of experience in a IT discipline providing excellent customer service
- A college degree is preferred, or the equivalent in experience
- Technical certifications preferred (A , Network )
- Experience with Microsoft Windows based platform
- Experience with Web-based applications
- Reliable insured car
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be able to multitask in fast pace environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with a strong, team-oriented work ethic
- Project a calm, professional demeanor at all times
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Demonstrate flexibility (e.g., redeployment, off-hour setup requests, etc.)
- Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs.
