What You'll Do:
Here are some of the tasks you'll be responsible for daily:
- Works closely with Sales, Operations and Corporate Marketing Team to develop a Marketing and Events Calendar (special focus on promotions, events, and activations that highlight sustainability initiatives and collaboration opportunities with American University)
- Develops property activations in coordination with the sales, property, and restaurant teams, organizing and producing events, parties, games, group meetings activations, restaurant trivia nights, and other forms of entertainment to ensure Airlie is a place guests and groups go to relax and to make lasting memories
- Creates and deploys social media campaigns and content calendars for Airlie and Harry’s on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, et. al; engage with customers and followers and establish relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong community; Monitor KPIs and follow trends to stay relevant on social channels
- Participates in strategy meetings and collaborates with property sales and corporate commercial services team on the development of seasonal and special event packages. Executes strategies, creating event briefs, package, and core images for posting on website, FB and print ads
- Leads the property’s public relations and communications efforts. Works closely with the Director of Sales and Corporate Marketing Team to generate a PR and events calendar and deliver press as scheduled; update all communications pieces as needed, including, but not limited to banquet menus, restaurant menus, online descriptions on our websites and third-party websites, and property collateral
- Be active in the community and build relationships and identify areas of mutual benefit with local partners; Create ideas and promotions based on these partnerships as a strategy to grow revenues across all business units
- Develops and manages third party marketing partners: Paid Search, Online Travel Agencies, FauquierNow, et al. Presents concepts and possible promotions based on occupancy needs assessments; Work with Director of Sales, Corporate Marketing Team, and General Manager to establish property partners for marketing purposes.
- Attends customer events, trade shows, and specialty shows to maintain, build, or develop key relationships with partners
- Active member of the marketing team and works with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Corporate Marketing Team on the overall positioning of the property for marketing and public relations purposes
- Works with Corporate Marketing Team to ensure branding and copy integrity on all advertising, website enhancements, and e–communications
- Monitor performance of all marketing campaigns
- Handles special projects as requested by the General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing and Corporate Marketing Team
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in Field Marketing, Hotel Sales, or a similar role in a hotel environment is required
- Knowledge of social media design, scheduling, and reporting software (e.g., Canva, Linktree, Maven/Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, etc)
- Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Office suite) and web analytics tools is preferred. Intermediate photoshop knowledge is preferred
- Experience working with Trello or another task management platform
- Experience in making website updates in various CMS platforms is required and HTML knowledge is preferred.
- Experience creating and deploying email campaigns through various CRM platforms
- Must have discriminating perceptions of text/graphic presentation and ability to communicate distinctions to agency partners for revisions
- Proficient in analyzing hotel marketing reports from Google Analytics, SynXis, and other hotel reporting tools
- Experience with travel industry reservation systems, hotel property management systems, hospitality forecasting, pricing, and inventory control

Salary : $57,200 - $72,400
