General Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Field Services Manager, is responsible for the performance of a wide variety of collections (including but not limited to anterior nares, oral fluid, and urine) and data entry. It is the Field Collectors job to provide a high level of professionalism and to promote a working atmosphere with a high quality of customer service. This position ensures individuals are serviced professionally, promptly, and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Greets and attends to the needs or requests of individuals waiting for service.
- Treats all clients with dignity and respect.
- Support and educate anxious clients to alleviate their discomfort.
- Completes all new hire and ongoing trainings in the areas of customer service, data entry, and collections.
- Access client information and process all paperwork with special attention to detail and accuracy.
- Processes all specimen collections accurately and timely.
- Maintains client confidentiality with all services.
- Inputs data and maintains client information as needed.
- Collects and processes monetary fees from clients.
- Verbally instruct clients in the correct processes for all services provided including collection procedures.
- Abide by all requisition procedures.
- Quality control and review of samples and requisition forms.
- Visually monitors same-sex clients as needed for urine specimen collections.
- Provide shift coverage when needed due to staff illness, weekend coverage, and/or vacation coverage.
- Completes all other tasks as assigned by Field Services Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous data entry experience and organizational skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to handle high work volume accurately at a fast pace and to work independently of supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office/Excel 6. Proficient in LabDaq and LabNexus
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to lift from floor to waist up to 25 pounds.
2. Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
3. Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
4. Must be comfortable handling biological specimens.
5. Must possess the ability to utilize visual and auditory senses to complete all job duties as assigned.
6. Must be able to work in a typical office and healthcare environment.
