As a Compliance Program Specialist within PNC's Compliance organization, you can be based remotely anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii or Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.Enterprise Compliance is responsible for assessing Compliance Risk and providing oversight to PNC’s lines of business which originate or service financial products and services. This role within the IRM Enterprise Compliance Team provides oversight of front line compliance risk management activities. The successful candidate will:
• Implement compliance programs to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper business practices.
• Conduct complaint monitoring functions, including UDAAP risk complaint evaluations.
• Support issues management activities to ensure adherence with established guidelines.
• Perform call monitoring and other tasks in support of the Compliance Program Framework (Identify, Assess, Monitor, Report).
• Conduct issue scoring related activities to help manage UDAP/UDAAP risk and identify customer financial impacting issues that warrant management reporting.
• Support oversight activities covering loan and mortgage servicing right acquisitions and sales transactions.
• Perform independent detective risk management activities including monitoring, targeted reviews, and testing.
• Support key business initiatives by gathering and analyzing data to identify compliance risks. May assist in suggesting resolutions.
• Demonstrate regulatory expertise in UDAP/UDAAP risk and support CMS in general. Maintain a strong working knowledge of the principles of the OCC’s heightened standards.
• Research current laws, rules, and other regulatory requirements and drafts or assess Compliance Manuals, Front Office materials, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment.
• Participate in discussions where operational execution adversely affects compliance risk.
• Assist in updating or implementing new/enhanced reports in order to ensure timely and effective compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Description
- Implements compliance programs to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper business practices. Develops ability to constructively challenge conclusions/status quo.
- Supports key business initiatives by gathering and analyzing data to identify compliance risks. May assist in suggesting resolutions. As necessary, escalates identified risks to senior team members. Identifies compliance impact on matters such as marketing materials, sales programs, product development, documentation review and other business initiatives.
- Assesses activity for existing and emerging risks. May evaluate the materiality of the risks identified. Researches current laws, rules, and other regulatory requirements and drafts or assesses Compliance Manuals, Front Office materials, policies and procedures to ensure alignment.
- Coordinates the compliance monitoring program and reviews activity to ensure it falls within established risk control limits. Executes on the Compliance program objectives for assigned area, products/services, and applicable regulations. May communicate and socialize compliance program objectives to business partners. Under supervision, challenges analyses and formulates recommendations.
- Prepares compliance reports. Identifies issues illustrated by the reports, escalates through proper governance channels as needed. Assists, as appropriate, in updating or implementing new/enhanced reports in order to ensure timely and effective compliance with regulatory requirements.
