Location: Portland, OR 97216
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Reports to:HR Director
Salary: $24 - $28 hourly

Job Summary
The HR Administrator is responsible for performing administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resources department.
Essential Duties
Assist with day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties.
Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives.
Compile and update employee records.
Job Duties
Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relevant to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. and refer complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to collect and file all required documents appropriately.
Provide clerical support to the HR department.
Assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
Conduct or assist with new hire orientation.
Assist with planning and executing special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
Perform customer service by answering the phone line and looping in other HR team members or appropriate parties on requests and questions.
Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Respectfully takes direction from Supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Education
Associate degree from a college or technical school; one to three years (s) related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience working in an administrative position.
