We’re looking for a product designer to join our design team working on our ESG platform. This is an
opportunity to not only design a product that does tangible good in the world, but also to help build the
systems and processes that will help us create the best product we can. This is a rare opportunity to help

The role and responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into UI designs for Optera’s web application
• Create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
• Design and ship high quality product improvements
• Help build and maintain a style guide and component library
• Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
• Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and design peers
• Contribute to product direction and overall UI/UX

Some projects you could work on:

• Designing ways for companies to report and mitigate their carbon emissions
• Reimagining how carbon reduction action plans are formulated and shared to suppliers
• Improving task completion for various user types as they navigate the complicated world of

carbon accounting and reporting

• Building tools for sustainability professionals to make a larger impact at their organization and

• End-to-end designs for dashboards, reporting tools, new features, and more

Your qualities and experience

• Love tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear goals
• Leverage prototyping skills to articulate your designs, especially in cases where interactions may

be particularly nuanced

• Highly proficient in Figma and excited to share your knowledge with others
• Value high quality well crafted visual design, and care about the details
• Are comfortable leading large projects
• Have experience maintaining style guides and component libraries
• Have experience designing B2B web applications

Position: Full-time
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 plus bonus
