We’re looking for a product designer to join our design team working on our ESG platform. This is an
opportunity to not only design a product that does tangible good in the world, but also to help build the
systems and processes that will help us create the best product we can. This is a rare opportunity to help

The role and responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into UI designs for Optera’s web application
- Create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
- Design and ship high quality product improvements
- Help build and maintain a style guide and component library
- Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and design peers
- Contribute to product direction and overall UI/UX
Some projects you could work on:
- Designing ways for companies to report and mitigate their carbon emissions
- Reimagining how carbon reduction action plans are formulated and shared to suppliers
- Improving task completion for various user types as they navigate the complicated world of
carbon accounting and reporting
- Building tools for sustainability professionals to make a larger impact at their organization and
- End-to-end designs for dashboards, reporting tools, new features, and more
Your qualities and experience
- Love tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear goals
- Leverage prototyping skills to articulate your designs, especially in cases where interactions may
be particularly nuanced
- Highly proficient in Figma and excited to share your knowledge with others
- Value high quality well crafted visual design, and care about the details
- Are comfortable leading large projects
- Have experience maintaining style guides and component libraries
- Have experience designing B2B web applications
Experience in Finance, Energy or Sustainability industries
- Prior experience in a startup environment

Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 plus bonus
