Job Summary: This position is responsible for safely packing, transferring and maintaining inventory in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in a timely, accurately and professional manner.

Essential Job Functions:

· Place raw materials or finished goods into racking and record location using hand-held computer

· Move pallets of drums/materials with forklift and place on racks

· Accurately follow instructions on batch tickets, recording required information

· Pack chemical products from mixing pots or drums into specified containers 

· Print product labels and label containers as directed

· Prepare boxes for shipments and assist shipping department when directed

· Keep work areas neat and organized

· Understand the hazards of chemicals through provided training, read SDSs, labels and SOP’s

· Wear proper personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures, policies and guidelines

· Present and maintain a positive attitude with regards to Polytek management policies and instructions

· Report safety concerns immediately to Shipping & Receiving Manager, Vice President of Operations or Environmental Health & Safety Director

· Follow all rules set forth in Polytek’s Employee Policy Manual

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and standing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required Education and Experience:

· Minimum of a high school education or equivalent

· Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math 

· A valid driver’s license

· Licensed forklift truck operator

· Self-motivated and ability to work as a team

· Ability to effectively manage time and follow directions

· Strong communication skills and the knowledge of using a PC for data entry
