Pomeroy is looking to hire an experienced Cable Puller in Roanoke, VA!
In this position you will be interpreting drawings, plans & specs to design, test & troubleshoot complex cabling solutions.
The ideal candidate for this position must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, and rectify complex structured cabling failures. Level III must be familiar with most applicable IEEE/TIA/EIA Telecommunications Structured Cabling Standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- The Telecom III Cable Puller position must demonstrate proficiency in all of the tasks and duties of the Telecom Levels I and II Cable Puller positions
- Interpret drawings, plans & specifications
- Properly test & troubleshoot copper installations
- Discuss media selection & implications to implementation on the network
- Make recommendations based on applicable codes, standards and best practices
- Interpret job plan and scope of work
- Perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructure
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
* High School Diploma
* Level III must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, and rectify complex structured cabling failures
* Must have a good working knowledge of all related field testing/ terminating equipment
* Level III must be familiar with most applicable IEEE/TIA/EIA Telecommunications Structured Cabling Standards
* Must show good leadership qualities, communication skills, and good motivational skills
