Our client is looking for a skilled professional for a 6 month contract to hire position as a Warehouse Clerk.
Responsibilities:
- Performs a full range of order fulfillment and warehouse functions.
- Performs all order fulfillment and warehouse functions such as shipping, receiving, stocking, storing and inventory of materials to ensure that company warehousing needs are met.
- Receives material and verifies count against documents to ensure that all materials are received according to agreed upon quantities.
- Processes requests for items, pulls and assembles kits for shipping, prepares and packs items for shipment to ensure that all items are addressed and shipped to appropriate locations.
- Assists in loading and unloading shipments and ensures that all items are cataloged and then placed in appropriate locations in the warehouse.
- Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
- Contacts business unit personnel, courier services, vendors and other relevant parties to ensure accurate delivery and pick-up of all shipment.
Requirements:
- 3 years experience in a Warehouse position
- Prior shipping, receiving, stocking, pulling and tracking experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, both internally and externally
- Extremely organized
- Ability to lift and move shipments/equipment
- Ability to operate hand truck, forklift or other mechanized material handling equipment
