What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardscape Installation Foremaen position at Pond Doctors & The Groundskeeper?
- Job Title: Hardscape Installation Foreman
- Purpose: To provide residential and commercial properties with high quality hardscape installations that boast a strong attention to detail and complement existing and new landscape designs. Overall increased beatification of outdoor living spaces is a priority.

- Requirements: Minimum 1 years previous installation experience and/or certification (e.g., NCMA and/or ICPI certifications)
- All applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Applicants must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Applicants must be able to stoop, stand, crouch, balance and exhibit manual dexterity and dynamic strength with a high degree of mastery.
- Knowledge of operating skid steers, excavators, etc.
- Applicants must have minimum of years experience, previous knowledge of the installation process of hardscapes including but not limited to patios, walkways, steps, pavers, water features, and retaining walls. Applicants must be able to illustrate and execute proper hardscaping techniques and utilize equipment, power tools, small machinery, and hand tools to carry out full service installations and proper handling of all materials, and higly skilled in managing a crew. All aspects of landscaping experience required.
- Other necessary skills and work styles include but are not limited to the following: active listening, critical thinking, dependability, attention to detail, cooperation, spatial recognition, time management, and self-control
- All applicants must participate in snow and ice control for residential and commercial properties in the winter.
- Tasks:
- Paver patios, retaining walls, boulder walls, flagstone paths, water feature construction and rebuilds
- Manipulate various soil compositions to create strong foundations for walkways, patios, decks, and retaining walls
- Utilize various tools to create structurally sound, durable and aesthetically beautiful hardscape designs that are built to withstand the elements and time. These installations enhance existing and/or new outdoor living spaces
- Apply knowledge of design principles to reinforce resilience (i.e., knowledge of proper design for drainage, grading, etc.)
- At time technicians will work alongside pond maintenance crews and assist with seasonal duties including cleaning, deconstruction and reconstruction of pumps for water features, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
