HUMAN RESOURCE BUSINESS PARTNER –
K-12 PUBLIC SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION/HR EXPERIENCE
Pooling Resources Inc. (dba POOL/PACT HR) is a unique non-profit organization which provides public-sector specific HR consulting and training services to local government entities in the state of Nevada. Our HR Business Partners (HRBPs) work one-on-one with cities, counties, towns, school districts, hospitals, and special districts to build strong foundations for effective Human Resources practices within their organizations.
Our experienced HRBPs) are knowledgeable in all areas of HR as it applies to public sector including employment laws, hiring, performance management, discipline and due process, and personnel administration, and also serve as subject matter experts in assigned areas. This HRBP will be the subject matter expert for Nevada K-12 public schools.
Each BP serves as their assigned members' main HR contact to:
· consult on HR issues,
· facilitate HR-related training courses in-person and virtually, and
· assist with policy development and application.
In addition, BPs:
· conduct research and analysis;
· develop written documents;
· interpret laws, statutes, personnel policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements; and
· are assigned special projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public or Personnel Administration, or a related field
· At least two-years administrative experience within the NV public school system to include a working knowledge of NRS 391, documentation, discipline, performance management, and collective bargaining
· Two years training experience
· Nationally-recognized HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, or IPMA-CP)
· Excellent writing and presentation skills
· Microsoft Office proficiency
· Customer-service orientation
· Passion to facilitate instructor-led training
· Familiarity with rural Nevada
Our competitive salary starts at $70,000 and is dependent upon qualifications. Our incredible benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 18 days PTO accrued the first year plus 11 paid holidays, and employer-paid SEP IRA after one year.
HRBPs report to the General Manager and work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional evenings and weekends, and are required to travel up to 25% of the time throughout rural Nevada, with some travel outside of the state. Part-time telework may be available after six to twelve months.
