What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Infection Control Coordinator position at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center?
Monitors hospital for possible infection outbreak. Implements and maintains plans and procedures concerning control measures as set forth by the infection control committee. Identifies and initiates isolation protocols and informs the appropriate state and county organizations of any reportable diseases. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. 1-3 years nursing experience required. Prefer previous infection control experience and/or ICP Certification.
