Description
The Center Store Team Member assists across all departments with stocking, merchandising, receiving, cleaning, and all aspects of customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives merchandise and stocks shelves; sets stocking priorities to ensure shelves are fully stocked and rotated for freshness.
- Ensures all products are labeled and signed accurately and appropriately.
- Maintains endcaps and other in-store displays per established standards for appearance, variety, and ease of shopping.
- Responds to customer questions, suggestions, comments, and complaints, including customer orders.
- Ensures department shelves, displays, aisles and storage areas are in clean and orderly condition, meeting health department and ADA standards.
- Advises Center Store Manager of equipment problems or needs.
- Attends department and storewide meetings.
- Participates in quarterly inventory counts which take place outside of regular hours.
- Performs department replenishment buying
- Participates in the Co-op’s Curbside Pick-up program as needed
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Center Store Manager, other Department Managers, Store Manager, or General Manager.
- Acts as a member of the Co-op’s team and works in other departments as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or listen, stand (most of the time), walk, bend, stoop, crouch, twist, climb, and reach overhead and forward with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and the ability to stand, move, and bend for extended periods of time. Hand and finger dexterity, motor control and eye/hand coordination is needed. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work is performed primarily in a fast-paced retail environment, requiring the ability to work well with others in a shared office, backroom, and walk-in refrigeration spaces. Must be able to endure working in a cold environment (refrigeration) for extended periods of time. This position includes significant sales floor and customer interaction time. Must be able to endure the stresses of dealing with the public. Must be available to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
