What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Set-up position at Portland Golf Club?
Portland Golf Club is looking for a full time Steward to join our team.
The primary duties for our stewards is to set-up and break down events and parties in the clubhouse as well as on the course and at the pool in the summertime. Part of setting up will include working closely with the Catering Sales manager to understand the layouts for each event and all of the equipment that needs to be set for each event. The stewards also assist in the dining room when not working on banquets, in this capacity they are bussing and reseting, bread and watering the tables, setting up the line etc.
An ideal candidate is a self starter who can work independently or in a team enviornment. Must be able to work long hours moving furniture by themselves and be able to lift 50lbs.
Other tasks included in this position include
· Putting away supplies and keeping storage areas clean and organized
· Working banquets assisting servers with watering, bussing, carrying trays, carrying bus tubs
· Setting up AV equipment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
· Portland Golf Club offers a minimum $16 per hour base wage, automatic 18% service charge that is 100% retained by the F&B staff, and full benefits package for full-time employees in this position.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
