Position Summary
The part-time Custodian position is responsible for providing a full range of cleaning duties for the University Place Hotel guest rooms and may assist in cleaning other areas such as linen rooms, lobby, and offices. The position will also assist other staff and guests as needed by providing friendly, courteous and professional service while adhering to health regulations.
Minimum Qualifications from Classification

Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position
High school education or equivalent.
Ability to work alone and follow trained procedures and standards.
Ability to remain on feet, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, lift, push, and pull throughout shift.
Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends, and holidays.
Ability to take direction and be flexible to change tasks/multi-task on demand.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate over a two-way radio.

Two or more year’s custodial and/or housekeeping experience in a hotel, hospitality, or travel industry.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting salary rate for this position will be between $15.59/hr and $16.19/hr. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR. PSU’s excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities.
