The Law Clerk is responsible for verification of service for various notices and pleadings. Will also do timely preparation of motions and handling of research-related assignments. This is a unique opportunity to work full time during the summer and then have part time flexible hours during the school year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for verification of service for various notices and pleadings.
- Draft and collate various motions, including but not limited to motions for alternate service, motions to amend, motions to strike, and motions to consolidate.
- Conduct necessary research and skip tracing efforts, including but not limited to owner verification, estate searches, and deed searches.
- Perform legal research as assigned.
- Attendance at work is an essential function of this position
- Other duties as assigned
- Successful candidates will have done well in Civil Procedure classes
- Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining professional working relationships with a diverse group of individuals
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong legal reasoning, writing, and research skills
- Business sense and ability to think strategically
- Ability to contribute to positive office culture
- Open to feedback at all levels
- Demonstrated skills of poise, diplomacy and tact
- PC Proficient: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Collection Partners or a similar collections database and Internet
- Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
- Dependable, with strong work ethic and personal integrity
- Bachelor’s degree
- Completed at least 1 year of law school
- Compensation: $25/hour
