Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods in a professional kitchen setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as icing, glazing, and piping
- Follow recipes and ensure consistency in product quality and presentation
- Package and present pastries for retail sale or catering orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry items
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry decoration
- Familiarity with food production processes in the pastry industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in pastry presentation
- Proficiency in using knives and other pastry tools
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training is a plus
