Job Description

Within Poshmark’s Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A), we enjoy a unique vantage point into everything happening within Poshmark. Our team provides strategic support to the CFO, CEO, and senior leadership on enterprise-wide planning, analysis, and reporting. As the central place the entire company looks to for an understanding of financial performance, we play a major role in driving business decisions.

In this role, you will own key processes essential to the heartbeat of Poshmark Finance, including the In-Year and long-term planning process, and more specifically the Month-End, Quarter-End, and Revenue Guidance processes. The position will support multiple executives and lead a team of finance professionals based in the US and India.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the total Poshmark In-Year financial planning process (i.e., Month-End Close, Quarter-End Close, and Revenue Forecast).
  • Manage and develop the FP&A team and the Revenue Finance team, which is composed of high-performing finance professionals that support the multi-faceted aspects of our global business.
  • Understand and develop cohort analytics (buyer/seller) to model the business drivers.
  • Engage with business teams to support and drive key Free Cash Flow initiatives.
  • Partner with the finance leaders to produce monthly and quarterly business updates for Poshmark’s senior executives and the Board of Directors (BOD).
  • Drive company-wide financial analysis and overviews for the CFO and Finance leadership team. Identify financial improvements, deep dive on cost structures, and analyze business opportunities and/or investments with a keen eye on scaling for future growth and driving profitable returns.
  • Drive simplification and automation of the finance workflows and redirect finance bandwidth to higher impact decision support.
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding risks associated with financial projections; support your team in budgeting and planning processes; share insight on relevant market trends.
  • Hire and develop the best finance talent. However, also be ready to dive deep when data and anecdotes disagree or when there are trend breaks.
  • Leverage Pigment, Netsuite, and other corporate financial systems to support deep dive analysis and results summarization in response to CFO/CEO needs.

6-Month Accomplishments

  • Drive strategic planning process.
  • Drive MFR conversations after 3 months with the Board.
  • Provide guidance and help drive the FCF initiatives.
  • Build a team of analysts in the US and India to help go deeper on insights and leverage Pigment.

12 Month Accomplishments:

  • Optimize Pigment's capabilities to enhance financial reporting accuracy, reduce manual data entry, and streamline report generation
  • Make the Annual Operating Planning process simpler with multiple scenario modeling being available in Pigment.

Requirements

  • 8 years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience.
  • 6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
  • 5 years of hiring, leading, and developing teams experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up.
  • Strong people partnership skills with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Works well under pressure with the ability to prioritize competing deliverables.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.

Salary Range

$137,000.00 - $199,500.00 Annual
