Position Summary:
The Transportation
Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and executing our
transportation plans with all selected carriers. Responsible for tracking our
shipments and keeping our records up to date as well as handling claims and
disputes with all carriers. Coordinator must be organized and efficient with a
strong attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
· Responsible for reporting on LTL/ truckload shipments.
· Responsible for coordinating appointment deliveries with
carriers.
· tracking carrier performance.
· The transportation specialist also works closely with
other staff within the company such as shipping clerks, managers, and
dispatchers.
· Use of multiple forms of communications mediums such as
phone, text, email, 3-way radio to communicate with multiple individuals.
· Responsible for inspecting and auditing transportation
operations.
· Handle disputes with carriers.
Education and Experience:
· Combination
of education and relevant work experience.
· 2 years of experience in transportation scheduling preferably in a warehouse or
light industrial environment.
· Demonstrated
ability to support a high velocity, high volume environment where multi-tasking
is a critical component of success.

To perform this job successfully,
an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and web browsers such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Safari.
