Job Description: Post Brothers, a world-class, vertically-integrated multifamily real estate developer, is seeking an Acquisitions Intern to support the Acquisitions team with the acquisition, disposition, and financing processes. The Acquisitions Intern will work closely with the Acquisitions Associate and Director of Acquisitions as well as with Post Brothers’ upper management. This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity in which routine tasks will range from financial analysis and due diligence review to the creation of investment memoranda and market research. Reports To: Acquisitions Associate and Director of Acquisitions

Job Type: Intern; hourly, non-exempt

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and organize offering materials for potential acquisitions
  • Market research
    1. Demographic research
    2. Comparable properties analysis
    3. Create and maintain ongoing market research files including mapping new opportunities and competitive properties
    4. Write comprehensive market research papers to support Post’s investment thesis for a given property
  • Due diligence activities for new acquisitions and related financings
    1. Ad hoc financial analysis and introductory financial modeling
    2. Obtain, organize, and maintain due diligence files
    3. Engage and review all 3rd party consultant information
    4. Create investment memos
    5. Property tours

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software packages and spreadsheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to perform in a busy, multi-tasking work environment
  • Ability to take direction well and work in a team setting
  • Tireless work ethic and incessant appetite for learning and growth
