What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Operations Expeditor position at PPG Industries, Inc?
Attention all Procurement Operations Expeditors! Are you looking for for an exciting opportunity to be the driving force behind procurement strategies and policies? Reporting directly to the Procurement Operations Manager. You will work on site at our facility in Kennesaw GA. Do you excel in a role where you can increase working capital and to ensure maximum cost savings? Look no further!
Key Responsibilities
* Address issues with inbound shipments to ensure resolution
* Handle supplier-related issues such as urgent supply needs or force majeure situations
* Ensure implementation of PPG Procurement strategies and policies
* Handle all procurement-related activities for assigned commodities
* Communicate with SBU management and Supply Chain regarding supply issues and potential savings opportunities
* Help issue purchase orders on behalf of PPG
* Create compliance with chosen suppliers and contracted terms and conditions
* Coordinate onboarding of new suppliers and lead the approval of alternative suppliers/products
* Monitor and address supply-related issues, including late purchase orders and urgent supply needs
* Communicate with team members and challenge the SBU to develop efficient supply processes
Qualifications
* Six (6) months of experience in aerospace supply chain, planning, procurement, or logistics required
* Two (2) years of related aerospace experience or related education preferred
* High school diploma equivalent (GED) required
* Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
