Based in the heart of Oak Creek WI., you will find PPG’s largest chemical manufacturing plant.
At this facility we produce paints and resins.
We are currently seeking to expand our highly trained and skilled team of Reactor Operators. As an Operator of a chemical reactor, you will be delivering world-class solutions that beautify, protect, and transform the view of the planet.

Starting pay : $25.25/hour. After 18 months of employment, operators will make over $30.00 per hour with negotiated pay increases and shift premium.
Shift : Night (3rd) Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am

The ideal candidate would possess strong communication skills, company loyalty, excellent attendance, and the drive to help us maintain daily objectives while looking to improve tomorrow’s goals.
Essential duties and key responsibilities:
· Operating pumps, hoses, and valves to transfer liquid and powder chemicals into process vessels
· Use of scanners to track chemical additions to process vessels
· Document recording data to logs that is monitoring temperature, pressures, and material additions to process vessels
· Operate a fork truck, pallet jack and other material handling equipment to perform the job
· Perform in-process testing on resin samples such as viscosity and titrations
· Follow all established plant safety and environmental guidelines
· Wear all required personal protective equipment requirements (PPE) when handling chemicals.
· Understand and recognize abnormal situations or deviations from process instructions and communicate these to supervision and engineers.
Qualifications
· At least two years of manufacturing experience required
· Chemical manufacturing experience is a plus
· Previous team leader or supervision experience a plus
· Must pass computer-based aptitude test
· Attention to detail is necessary
· Must pass drug screening and background check
· Ability to lift to 55 lbs independently
· Forklift experience is a plus
· Troubleshooting skills is a plus
· Able to work both alone and within a team
· Available to work overtime as required
