Job Description
We are seeking a Store Sales Associate to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue. This store is located in White Rock off Garland Rd. We are looking to grow on our success and offer this entry level role with room for advancement without the need of a college degree into management roles such as assistant store manager and store manager. If you're a hard worker, quick learning, and love to help customers to ensure they have a great customer experience, then PPG would love for you to join their team! With servicing the construction industry, we encourage Spanish speakers to apply as you will be awarded for you extra value you can provide for PPG. Our minimum pay is $15 dollars an hour, with monthly bonuses of up to $320 dollars per month for hitting sales metrics. Like I said previously, we do reward the value that someone who can speak Spanish provides, so we start them at $16 without experience and if you have previous paint experience and speak Spanish, we will start you at $16.50. We are always needing great people, so if you can prove yourself in this role, around 1-2 years from when you start you will likely be looking at promotions to assistant store manager or store manager at additional locations throughout DFW or possibly here in White Rock. Our hours are M-F 7A-5P and Saturday 8A-12P. Feel free to swing in and say hi!
Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome and identify customer needs as well as answering phones and taking orders.
- Explain products and services to customers to help clarify needs.
- Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock for customer orders.
- Enter and process customer orders with ensuring accuracy and color dotting paint can lids as well as order cards.
- Opening and closing of the store, mainly closing and some Saturdays will be required during the 4-hour shift.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 45 LB's or more and unload pallets.
- Organize and put away stock.
- Operate a walk behind forklift.
- Custom color matching and product recommendations
- Ability to learn and follow store policies that align with corporate operation policies.

- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build rapport with customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
