ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Be the “Face” of Prairie Dunes by greeting members and guests as they enter the clubhouse.

May serve as club’s opening and closing manager or manager on duty.

Able to lead staff through all service types (a la carte, buffet, etc.).

Assists in event setup, service, and breakdown.

Creates seating chart and places servers/bartenders
-
Directs pre-shift meetings with dining room personnel; summarizes pre-shift meetings in End of Shift Notes

Works with the Director and other supervisors to create an effective schedule to ensure all dining areas are well staffed.

Receives and resolves complaints concerning dining room service, escalating to the Director of F&B or Chef, when necessary
-
Assists the Director with training and the supervision of dining room staff.
-
Assists in service as needed and when required, i.e. can and will be scheduled as the Club’s opening manager and opening server.

Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.
-
Inspects dining room employees to ensure that they are always in proper and clean uniforms.

Ensures that servers & bartenders are closing out chits,
-
Ensures that servers & bartenders are doing the appropriate duties for the PM staff.

Provides daily end of shift report via email.

Helping resolve employee issues as they arise, escalating issues to the Director, General Manager, and/or Human Resources, if necessary

Assures that all laws applicable to Prairie Dunes Country Club’s liquor license are followed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBITILITIES:
- Working with the Bar Manager on inventory and ordering of non - alcoholic beverages/mixers.

Works with Director and other supervisors on Club Passport with weekly quizzes.

Assists the Director in keeping Club Passport up to date on food and bar items, as well as upcoming events.

Works with other supervisors on ensuring updating member wine locker lists
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

High School education (GED equivalent) is a must; College education is a plus

2 years server experience

Excellent multitasking ability

Ability to effectively and professionally deal with members, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger

PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:

Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 40 pounds.

Ability to perform the duties of this job while exposed to outside weather conditions.

Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of dining room. Ensures timeliness of food service. Supervise and train dining room staff. Develop and implement programs to increase revenues through repeat business and higher check averages.
Due to the cyclical nature of our industry, Club Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club. Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the company’s rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facilities. Associates who violate the rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
