Responsibilities
Hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 730a-4p
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Required to display a professional attitude in all aspects of job performance
- Responsible for accurate and timely filing of medical records including scanning
- Transmission of medical records upon request in compliance with HIPAA standards which may include sending Discharge and Admit records
- Conducts daily medical record chart checks per policy, and regular medical chart audits
- Is cross trained to assist with Crisis Intervention when required.
Department/Location Specific: PHP
- Maintains PHP Daily Roster and Census and verify PHP census
- Complete PHP records requests
- Send School admit paperwork
Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma. A Health Unit Coordinator/Medical Secretary Certificate or Health Unit Coordinator/Medical Secretary two-year degree is preferred
- At least 1-year work experience in Health Unit Coordinator or Medical Secretary position
- Must have Microsoft Office skills using Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task and accept requests from staff members
- Ability to prioritize is essential
- Ability to use fax machine, scanner, and copier machine required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
- Ability to use e-mail, a computer, and a telephone.
