Position Summary: The Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing electronic assemblies. Troubleshooting of those assemblies is limited to visual inspection. The Assembler is required to assist with the servicing of devices which have been returned for repair. This position is also required to use the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in updating computer records for production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completes hardware assembly / subassembly of devices per device drawing. This includes any wiring, accessories, labels, mounts, etc.
- Performs visual inspection of assembly to detect any non-conforming conditions.
- Tests completed assemblies as required.
- Consistently achieves the stated cycle time to complete assembly.
- Knows and complies with Manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Assists in maintaining accurate bill of materials.
- Accurately issues and receives parts from work orders in the computer system. Performs inventory transfers when needing to move inventory from one area to another.
- Assists other departments as needed.
- Be involved in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintains a professional work environment per work area organization standards.
- Achieves corporate goals and department key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to work with a team.
- A “self starter” who is able to manage time and organize work with minimal supervision.
- Tactful and able to relate to employees at different levels in the organization.
- Adaptable and flexible to meet changing needs within the department.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year computer experience is preferred.
- Assembly experience is preferred.
- Experience using power hand tools is desirable.
- Experience soldering is preferable.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and/or electronic assembly is preferred.
Salary : $14 - $18
