CRM Business Systems Analyst Job Description
The CRM Business Systems Consultant position is within Information Research (R&D) and the IT organization of a global research based pharmaceutical company, responsible for providing appropriate technology consultation, guidance, and leadership to Global Medical Affairs.
To be successful, the candidate is expected to have technical and functional experience around CRM technology capabilities and how different solutions interact with each other to enable business outcomes. This role will be required to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization, to ensure business value can be delivered with the solutions being proposed.
This position is responsible for planning and overseeing a portfolio of technology projects from ideation to completion, including securing cross-functional alignment on project scope, benefits, cost, and timeline.
CRM Business Systems Analyst Primary Responsibilities/Duties
- Proactively understand the business requirements and the technology needs.
- Understand both data and technology capabilities already in use across AbbVie and recommend appropriate application.
- Uses technical consulting skills, expertise, and collaboration to translate business requirements to functional requirements for technology delivery team.
- Develop comprehensive project estimates and timelines by soliciting input and collecting feedback from all impacted stakeholders.
- Effectively utilize all available resources, either within or outside of direct span of control, to manage diverse workload, maximize productivity and encourage innovation.
- Work across IT and business functions to negotiate and secure the availability of resources
- Work with technical resources, to ensure that systems are architected in a way that results in technology synergies and simplified integration to help manage multi-vendor relationships and ensure compliance with data security and architecture standards.
- Interacts well with diverse groups across business and technology functions and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
- Makes contributions to identifying overall process and/or technology improvements.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable AbbVie Policies and procedures.
- Work with minimal oversight; deliverables and relationships are monitored through periodic reviews.
CRM Business Systems Analyst Qualifications:
- Very Strong communications skills
- Ability to work globally – meaning early morning meetings and possibly evening meetings
- Ability to build process diagrams based on facilitated sessions with business clients
- Bachelor's Degree with 7 years’ experience
- Previous CRM Experience Required
- Previous Pharma Experience Required
- Experience working with Pharma Medical Affairs is desired
CRM Business Systems Analyst Top Requirements
Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:
- Bachelor's Degree with 7 years’ experience
- Very Strong communications skills

- Previous Salesforce or Veeva CRM background
