Precisely Software Incorporated is seeking an intern to work in our Legal Department. Our ideal candidate has an interest in working for a global software company and a desire to learn more about different aspects of in-house law practice with a focus on Intellectual Property and legal Product support. This is a remote position. The internship will begin as soon as possible, for up to a six-month term. Dates are subject to change based on individual law school schedules.

Responsibilities

You Will:

 

As part of our fast-paced legal team, you will work under the mentorship of a Precisely in-house attorney and other legal staff, assisting on a variety of projects spanning multiple business functions. You may find yourself working with both internal clients and external parties. The work will cover varied projects requiring data collection and organization, records maintenance, drafting documents and correspondence, and high-level communication. You will get practical exposure in patent and trademark prosecution and record keeping, export compliance, licensing, including open source compliance, procurement and marketing/branding support depending on level of interest and projects on hand. You may also provide support for special projects as needed.

Qualifications

You Have:

 

  • Must be a JD Candidate currently enrolled in a law degree program with at least two semesters completed.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word required.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple complex projects simultaneously, and work under pressure with keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
