Millwork Estimator

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing construction projects and providing accurate cost estimates. Your expertise in negotiation, project management, and construction estimating will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects.

Duties:

- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work

- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates

- Utilize our software-Innergy to prepare detailed cost estimates

- Analyze project requirements and develop strategies for cost control

- Prepare and submit bids and proposals to clients

- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather additional information

- Collaborate with the project management team to develop project schedules and budgets

- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to estimated costs

- Participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors

Requirements:

- Proven experience in estimating, preferably in the millwork

- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices

- Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid

- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from subcontractors and suppliers

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in estimating costs

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.73 - $27.39 per hour
