Description:

This is an opportunity for someone interested in assisting the army in improving their digital technical database library. C5ISR Center ESI/CECOM is seeking an experienced senior engineer with background in software and hardware integration and configuration Management of technical data. The position requires elements of strong understanding of software, software infrastructure and framework along with integration between systems. The candidate will closely work with engineers across the department of defense in support of enterprise multi-platform environment focus to improving the Army’s digital engineering tool environment. Technical data of engineering drawing and software models, understanding change control process within a product data management (PDM) environment. Strong attention to detail is required. Proactive approach needed for evolving priorities. Knowledge and awareness of DOD and industry standards.

Seeking a candidate with the following experience and/or degree that displays capability of the following:

• Deliver strong analytical skills, commitment for accuracy, ability to work with others within a team environment and maintain amicable relations with internal customers.  Candidate must exemplify proficient time management skills and able to work concurrent task requirements.
• Background in software programming working with various databases, integration efforts
• Experience in the review, examination, upload and configuration of technical drawings and engineering change orders for continuity and correctness of data line items as well as analyze old data with new data for proper configuration management storage.
• The candidate will have expertise in working with a product data management system (ie. Working development, database, or integration of).
• Develop, implement, and champion initiatives involving data assets, workflow, and technology capabilities critical to our customers base across multiple types and domains.
• Lead or participant in designing and developing future state capabilities in accordance with our programs functional strategy and goals to ensure our people, process, data, technology and governance needs are accurately assembled and aligned for successful short, medium and long-term execution.
• Ensures that customer requirements are implemented, and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with hardware or software configuration management policies and procedures.
• Strong time management skills/ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple projects at the same time.
• Capable in understanding established procedures and best practices and executes to meet program objectives.
• Provides feedback for organizational improvement.
• Must have experience/fluent with creating guidelines or procedures using Microsoft office
• Must have knowledge of technical data/design/software iteration documentation change control.
• Must have recent/current background with a product data lifecycle management system
• Must have familiarity with military or industry standards associated with technical data and configuration management
• Ability to comply with all organizational guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace organization core values
• Must be able to train others on subjects identified as needed for improving organization’s understanding of process and procedures relating to PTC Windchill.
• Strong experience/capable in producing enterprise guidebooks; Identify Process/Guideline/ standard operation procedure improvements,
• Able to lead discussion and hold meetings on enterprise standards to other engineers based on organizations define process and subject matter understanding of software/software development/software infrastructure of a PDM system.
• Knowledge/understanding of a product structure hierarchy and relationships to hardware drawings and software control items.

Education requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
