As a Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the operations of the quality assurance department and its personnel, devising, implementing, and upholding a comprehensive quality assurance framework for the organization's products and developmental procedures at the Cincinnati, Ohio site.
Key Responsibilities for Quality Control Manager:
Establish quality standards and ensure their uniform application across the organization.
Develop, execute, and oversee processes to guarantee that products meet specified quality, functional, and reliability requirements before being delivered. This involves:
- Conducting audits on incoming components and materials.
- Performing audits during various stages of the manufacturing process.
- Conducting audits on finished goods.
- Ensure the availability and proper functioning of equipment, gauges, and calibration systems required for auditing.
- Handle non-conforming materials and formulate corrective action plans as needed.
- Ensure adequate training for both quality and production personnel.
- Generate reports detailing compliance with quality standards as well as any deviations.
- Examine customer and field complaints regarding products and provide support in addressing quality-related issues.
- Participate in the qualification process for new component/material suppliers.
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
- Conducts annual performance reviews and goal setting for department staff.
Requirements for Quality Control Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in a related field with supervisory experience a plus.
