Our organization is looking for an Medical Billing Specialist to join our office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, contacting insurance companies in regards to denials or unpaid claims, ensuring that all payments are collected in a timely manner and the billing and posting of payments. You will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities are fully compliant with all state and federal regulations at all times.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing company and make a real impact.

Responsibilities:

• Process insurance payments and refunds.
• Monitor client accounts for non-payment and delayed payments.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain client accounts in the system.
• Contact insurance companies for payment and investigate issues with client accounts that prevent payment including denials
• Primary and secondary insurance billing
• Posting insurance payments
• Answer client inquiries regarding their accounts.
• Assist with the collection of delinquent accounts.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Knowledgeable in policies, laws and procedures
• Strong computer skills
• Proficiency in database management
• Willingness to work as a team player
• Good organizational skills
• Help out the front desk occasionally as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Experience:

• Mental/Behavioral Health: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical billing: 1 year (Required)
• Accounts receivable: 1 year (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Warren, OH 44484: Relocate before starting work (Required)
